• Collaboration Initiation: Filling Homes and Luther Home of Mercy Boards of Directors collaborated in 2012 to explore future opportunities.
• Shared Mission: Both organizations provided similar Lutheran ministries for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Collaboration Process: A joint committee, with representatives from both Boards, met annually to discuss potential collaboration.
