Using Keyboard Shortcuts

Just like Windows, Mac OS X has many keyboard shortcuts. For many of them, just replace the Ctrl key with the Command (⌘ or ) key.

If you would like to know a shortcut for a certain action.
The Shortcut is usually listed within the menu:

A few of the more common shortcuts are:
  • Quit an Application ⌘ (or ) + Q
  • Close a Window ⌘ (or ) + W
  • Copy a Selection ⌘ (or ) + C
  • Paste a Selection ⌘ (or ) + V
  • Cut a Selection ⌘ (or ) + X
